Jean loved Red, Bristol Samplers, Berlin Work, and Parties, so The Attic is having a big party to celebrate her and some of her favorite genres of needlework! Your faculty will be Vickie and Maegan Jennett of NeedleWork Press, Claudia Dutcher Kistler of Dutch Treat Designs, and Michele White of Tabby Cat Designs. Each instructor will present a Bristol or Berlin Work Sampler and attendees will receive kits to make a suite of smalls inspired by the samplers, as well as charts to reproduce the full samplers. This event will also include a celebration of Jean’s life and contributions to the needlework community, show and share, delicious meals together, and plenty of time to stitch and socialize.
The event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Tempe Research Park, about 2 miles from The Attic. A block of rooms with a special rate is provided for attendees. Your $750 fee includes workshops with three designers, three kits plus extra charts, four meals, beverages and snacks, and exclusive gifts from The Attic. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $300. The event will begin on Friday evening with a dinner and conclude after the final workshop at noon on Sunday. A complimentary shuttle runs between the hotel and The Attic for shopping, and will also take you to nearby restaurants for additional dining options. It does not service the airport.
