Cleopatra’s Needle Class –

Date: Thursday, July 20, 2023
(Deposit: $300)
Description: A floral-stitched, four-sided 5” tall narrow tapering obelisk with a pyramid-ion top, lifts up from 3” square pin keep base to reveal two internal storage areas of this beautiful etui. The tower of spools is attached to a removable box top with needle package pockets. The tower lifts to access a four-bottle storage box compartment.
Monghry Workbox
Third in the Anglo Indian Series
Two Day Class – Cost: $ 735
Dates: Friday & Saturday, July 21-22, 2023
(Deposit $400)
Description: Monghry work is the inlay of bone/ivory on Ebony wood. The style uses a fine, very thin, single line of ivory inlay with swirls and tresses of dainty leaves and flowers.
Our Monghry Workbox for this class measures 5” x 5” x 1-1/2” in size. Worked on off-white linen with Noir silk fiber in contrast to the dark dense color of Ebony with off-white inlay. The workbox features two functional hinged top lid panels that overlap. Once opened, the two panels showcase a mirror with a thread winder storage area, and a scissor with thimble and needle package storage area. The internal box panel has constructed compartments that hold two stitched stuffed pincushion sections, a needle book, and a bodkin storage area as well as 5 spools of 100/3 fiber.
The Flower Cart

Description: Join the celebration of all things floral as we stitch the Flower Cart’s removable pincushion with a secret storage area that hides your tiny scissors. The red and white stitched scallop canopy reveals its secret when you lift the sides – a little nifty needle storage area!
This adorable, custom-built maple wooden cart measures under 5” and has two mother of pearl discs that measure 1-1/2” for the wheels.
