SUMMARY:2024 Fall Campin' & Stitchin' Cross Stitch Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Registration Open: \nCross Stitch/Punch Needle embroidery casual retreat. Our ‘stitching room” will be the beautiful Pride Center on location at the campground. Laid back\, casual retreat. Games\, door prizes\, optional smalls exchange (squirrels & acorn theme). \nMeals and lodging are not included. There will be an optional BBQ meal for $15 each on Wednesday night (BBQ\, baked beans\, coleslaw\, roll and cookie with water or tea) and optional dinner at a restaurant on Thursday evening. There is a cafe at the campground\, and restaurants nearby. Lots of lodging options at the campground for those that won’t be camping.\nSassy Jack’s Stitchery is a 35 minute drive from the campground.\n\nFor non-campers\, there are motels nearby.\n\nTell them you’re with the cross stitch retreat when you make your reservation. Ask about discounts for campsites. They are a Passport America campground\, and I think there may be a military discount.

DESCRIPTION:Full\, email to be on wait list. \nThe academy’s workshop is based on needlework lessons from the Victorian classroom which will be taught by Mrs Parkman and will include 14 different stitches. A kit for the sampler will be provided as part of the event fee and will include instructional videos which you will also be able to access on your return home. Please note that due to the stitches being taught the project will be worked on 36ct linen with Soie d’Alger. \nMrs Parkman will also be teaching a further class with a twist. The project kit will be provided as part of the event fee. You will be able to complete this project during the weekend and have a memento to take home with you. \nExpert speakers to include Rebecca Scott of Witney Antiques who will give a lecture on the items featured in the exhibition “While her fingers on the canvass move”. \nRetreat also includes goodie bag\, Show & Tell\, optional smalls exchange\, door prizes\, pop up shops selling needlework supplies\, linen\, fripperies and antique samplers. \nMeals included are dinner buffet on Friday and Saturday\, lunch on Saturday and Sunday\, bottled water and coffee/tea on Saturday and Sunday. \nOptional Pre-Events on Thursday and Friday. \nSpecial hotel rate available at Hilton.
