This exclusive project will be decking out a wooden sewing box!  It’s going to be a wooden sewing box – hinged lid – that will be decorated on top\, and completely customize for tool storage on the inside! Way too much work to do at home alone\, but totally fun to do with a group in a situation that has fabric and trinket options! \nShe Shed class is limited to 40. Your fee of $200 will include anything and everything done in class\, all the yummy snacks and give-aways. Lunches are on your own.  \n$50 Due at registration. Balance due August 18th. Cancellations made before August 18 receive funds paid less $50. Cancellations after August 18 may receive kits with no refunds or partial refund (TBA) if your space can be filled.

SUMMARY:Schoolgirl Samplers of Western New York:  Jane Boyer 1834
DESCRIPTION:Registration Open:  Full day retreat offering immersive historical experience in the neighborhood where the 10 year old\, attended school and church.  Participants will be given two fully-kitted cross-stitch projects based on her sampler to work on that day and will receive a digital pdf chart of the full reproduction sampler at the end of the retreat. Three talks during the day will focus on her life\, on the momentous decade of the 1830s in LeRoy and beyond\, and on stitching the model of the reproductiion sampler and other related cross-stitch topics. \nIn addition\, participants will receive a guided tour of the historic LeRoy House (just steps up the street from St. Mark’s)\, view the samplers in the collection\, and visit the Jell-O Museum located behind the LeRoy House. \nMorning coffee and a catered lunch (from the D&R Depot Restaurant) will be offered.  There will be substantial door prizes for several lucky winners (including a HaloGo lighted magnifier\, a full kit by Merry Cox\, sampler charts\, linen and floss for the Jane Boyer reproduction sampler\, a set of q-snap frames\, and more) and small treats for all participants. There will be some free time to stitch or visit other locations associated with Jane’s life.
